Meet LaVerne
LaVerne was rescued by a Good Samaritan who heard her crying in the bushes and started feeding her. He loved her but couldn't take her in because of his dog so he reached out to us for help. Turns out she was microchipped and registered to someone, but their number was disconnected and they did not reply to the e-mail that was sent to them. Clearly, she was left behind when they moved, which happens way too often these days. Thank goodness she was rescued before she was killed by a predator. She is very sweet and loves to be petted, even though she's still learning to trust us after having been abandoned by her family. We are certain she's going to make a wonderful addition to a family and they will be lucky to have her.
