I came to SPCA with my 10 young pups and now I am ready for my forever home
WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT ME
Hi I'm Layla, I'm a sweet girl looking for a family to call my own. I came in to SPCA from the local Animal Control with my pups, and spent a lot of time in foster caring for my puppies. They have since grown up and found their forever homes so now it is my time to shine! My foster family described me as a lovely girl and a pleasure to have in the household. In the centre I am usually found either snuggled up in my bed getting belly rubs or zooming around the yard playing with my yardmate. I am known to be a bit of an escape artist so my future family would need to have high (1.8m+) fencing, of a material that is not easily climbed (ie. vertical panels rather than horizontal). I could go to a home with dog-savvy children who are prepared for my level of energy. I have been in foster homes with kids so I would be happy living in a home with children, however I will need an adult to be the one to walk me. I would be best suited to a home without cats or small animals as I am a bit too interested in them and think they look fun to chase. I could possibly go to a home with an existing dog (preferably a male or younger female) that is happy to share their space with me and be my playmate. I do have a medical waiver so if you'd like to hear more about this, please get in touch with our Wellington team. I would need an active home that is committed to giving me plenty of physical and mental enrichment, as I am very intelligent and have lots of energy. I would love a family that is willing to dedicate their time and love to me. If this sounds like you, click apply and see if we're a match!
