Mission
Leesburg Humane Society is one of the only truly no - kill shelters in this area. We are a non - profit sanctuary, whose belief is that no animal should lose it's life for lack of shelter. For most of our animals, we are just a stepping stone to their forever home. Our primary concern is that our animals are healthy and safe. Our secondary concern finding a forever home.
Adoption Policy
If you see a sweetie that catches your eye, please give the shelter a call and make an appointment to come and visit. We are a little off of the beaten path, but I promise that it's worth the drive.
ADOPTION FEES:
Dogs -- 95.00
Cats -- 85.00
All of our animals are spayed/neutered, and up to date on shots before they go home. If you find an animal that you want and any of that has not been done, you can put a "Hold" on it. That involves putting a deposit down (which will be applied to adoption fee) and you can come and pick him/her when ready.
The deposit is non-refundable if you change your mind about the adoption. If the adoption is not possible for health reasons or something on our end, we will happily refund your money.
