Lilo, based at our Old Windsor centre, is a lovely, gentle dog but currently can be unsure of people and noises, and needs to be given time to come out of her shell. When she does make friends, her affectionate and loyal personality starts to emerge, leaning into you for fuss.
She would love a garden of her own so that when her confidence grows, she can have Sighthound zoomies. Lilo can be spooked by noises currently so will need to learn a solid recall command before being let off lead.
She could also potentially live with calm older children.
She finds walking a bit scary at present and is not the type of dog who will enjoy going for long walks in unfamiliar places. It may take her some time to find the confidence to go for walks, and owners will need to start off with very short walks. She will need to live in a quieter location to help with this.
Lilo has shown some lovely behaviours around other dogs and likes to play and run around in a chase game. She has been a little worried of dogs who try to engage in a wrestle game so her new owners should be able to read her body language and remove her from a situation if she starts to feel unsure. She may be able to live with an existing dog in her new home - another Sighthound type would be her ideal match.
