Linus

Linus was born around December 3, , and was raised with many siblings.

Linus is a sweet, happy, and easy-going puppy.

He wears his heart on his tail – a little mark on his tail looks like a heart, at least for now.

That’s how much love he has to give and is seeking.

Linus is highly food motivated.

Has not found a food he doesn’t like! Strawberries, bananas, cucumber, blueberries, Greek yogurt, and any dog food and treats.

There are only puppies at the current foster, and they are all working on their manners.

Sometimes it’s easy to share - snuffle mats, rolling balls, food bowls, and large treats (with his sister, the other pup doesn’t like to share treats).

Linus doesn’t resource guard but will bark if another has a treat and he doesn’t or, more likely, he’s already finished his treat.

Yet, he can have his treat taken away by the foster or stolen by another pup, and he’s fine with it.

He may bark at the other dog to ask for it back, but Linus redirects well so a toy, different treat, petting, or play, and he’s a happy boy again.

He truly seems to be a loving and lopping boy.

His eyes within his ‘mask’ are, according to the foster, “Eeyore Eyes - he may never lose their puppy-look softness.

Linus will play with his sibling and the resident puppy.

He’s starting to play with the other adult dog that visits, but he’s still shy.

Since he’s not very dominant and if he doesn’t want to play anymore, or sometimes not play anymore with the other puppies – he’s an easy-going pup, but can only get your toy stolen so much! He will then come inside or outside and play by himself, asks for pets or crashes out on his own.

He will also ask to go outside by himself – not only to potty, but also to sit and watch the world or play by himself.

Linus is both timid and brave.

He is scared of the stand-up vacuum and hair dryer – he will ring the dog doorbell loudly and continuously until let out or the vacuum/hair dryer are off.

However, he also was scared of the robovac, but now will play alongside it.

Anything new (that’s not food or a toy) should be introduced to him or he gets fearful.

Linus is brave when he’s exploring the backyard or house.

He likes to investigate and will climb onto or under.

His tail also starts wagging and gets excited when he sees other dogs and people, but he hasn’t met too many yet.

However, he will probably be able to make friends quickly as he isn’t pushy until he is friends, then he’s all over them if they allow it!!
Linus’s favourite way to eat and drink is laying down.

It’s also his favourite way to train too.

He can sit, give a paw, and high five.

The last two are especially great if he can lay down while doing it.

He will sit for his food and tries very hard to wait until allowed to eat/food is put down.

With attention to him, he will probably learn very quickly – he learned paw and high five in the few minutes of training he can get when the other pups are busy, and he learned the dog doorbell within a day.

Linus has a lot of love to give.

He will make a great dog to chill out with and pet, as he is very soft.

He is fine with getting his hair and teeth brushed (introduce him to the brush first!).

Give a licking mat and he’s happy to take a bath.

He would be great with another dog that doesn’t dominate him or as a single dog – his personality will start to shine once he finds his home.

Linus will be a bigger dog since at about 12 weeks, he is 25 lbs and is 17 inches to his shoulders, and about 18 inches in length.

Adoption fee is $495 (200 is refunded upon proof of spay).

He is microchipped, dewormed and current on age appropriate vaccines.
