Meet Lissi

A lovable three-year-old mixed breed dog who is ready to find her forever home. Lissi's’s journey to finding her forever home was not an easy one. She was taken in by a local animal rescue when found surviving on the streets alone and injured. Despite her injuries, Lissi showed a remarkable resilience and was able to recover.

Her sad past left Lissi with some special needs but that does not stop her from being a loving, kind and active girl.

Lissi loves to go on walks. She is also a big fan of cuddling and will happily curl up next to her humans for some quality snuggle time. Lissi is great with other pets and enjoys playing with dogs and cats alike. She has a gentle nature and is very patient with younger animals.

Lissi is also great with kids of all ages. She has a gentle and patient nature, which makes her a great companion for young children.
Lissi's’s ideal home would be one where she can receive plenty of love and care. While Lissi does enjoy being around people, she is also content to spend time alone and will happily nap while her humans are at work.

Lissi has special needs, and we are looking for a family who will be ready to commit to Lissi's care.
Lissi was found dragging her small body with her front legs, her back legs were weak due to injury - someone shot her and left 2 bullets in her back.

Lissi had rehabilitation done with volunteers and she has muscle memory walk, but she will have to wear diapers as she does not have full control of her bladder.
Lissi can run around the backyard but on longer walks so far she uses a small wheelchair.

Lissi is an amazing dog who has been through a lot in her short life but has never lost her sweet and affectionate nature. Lissi would make a great addition to a very special family.
