ABOUT LOUIS
He is a 10 month old hound mix that is sure to bring you his favorite toy! Louis came to HAP with his sister, Lindsay, from a high-intake shelter in Louisiana where they were at risk for euthanasia due to space. Despite being siblings, they are not bonded and can be adopted individually! Louis enjoys hanging out with other pups and opens up much faster with another furry friend around. He LOVES stuffed, squeaky toys and will even toss them around for himself! Louis can be timid at first but warms up quickly with treats. He loves spending time outside and can frequently be found sunbathing in this warm weather recently!

Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog, but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
