Meet Lucky
This 7 month old Heeler mix is as cute and scruffy as they come!
She's going to stay smaller - at 7m she's only 16.5lbs.
She should be in that 20-25lb range as a full grown adult.

Her foster fam says:
"Lucky mostly just wants to be wherever we are. She follows my wife and I from room to room curling up next to us on the couch or on one of our patio chairs on the balcony.
An adopter who works from home/can bring her with them to work all the time would be a great fit too.

She walks very well on the leash although she sticks so close to me that she’s literally underfoot so we are working on that. She doesn’t pull or dart around and when she walks with both my wife and I she wants to walk in the middle.

She’s met a few other dogs including my neighbor’s larger rescue mutt who was very gentle with Lucky. Otherwise meeting dogs on our walks she’s been calm and polite and not too distracted by them.

She’s cautious when she sees people coming from down the block but then will look to sniff or say hello to them as we get closer she’s a real sweet and gentle dog. She is happy to let folks pet her if they stop us to tell us how cute she is.

She is food motivated and already learned the sit command and is getting the hang of going in her crate on command. She loves to snuggle and has gotten the hang of potty time being while we are on walks.
She’s responsive to her name and will move along from food or other distractions on the street with a simple call of her name.
