Meet Lucky
Please apply for a specific dog with the rescue or submit a general application.
Lucky is a sweetheart of a guy and quite a looker. Lucky is a great companion and would do well as an only, or a home with dogs similar in size and temperament.
Lucky has a very sensitive stomach &/or a condition called mega esophagus. Lucky will most likely need a prescription diet or specially prepared food, and to be fed smaller meals more frequently. This will be a life long condition but one that can be managed. So far in his foster home he is thriving and has had no problem keeping food down and gaining weight.
Lucky was previously around children and did well. He is a sweet boy and would do well with children 7 and up.
Lucky would do well in any style of home. He is good with stairs, comfortable in his crate, and can be left alone for short periods of time.
2-3 hours alone time at the most would be ideal. At this time Lucky needs to be fed on a schedule and at this time should not be left for longer than 3 hours. But when he's alone, he does well.
Lucky would be very curious and want to rough house with a cat. It's very possible over time and with slow and safe interactions, he could cohabitate with a cat.
Yes, Lucky is very sociable, playful, and used to living in homes with multiple dogs. Lucky is sweet and very playful; he would do well with other dogs similar in size and larger.
