Meet Lucky! Who doesn't love a fuzzy, little low rider?
Lucky is about a year old (10 months), weighs about 15 pounds and is a super mutt of some special kind.
Maybe some long haired Chihuahua with a smidge of Golden Retriever?
We don't really know, but he sure has the wavy golden locks of a Golden (insert a funny face here).
Lucky is shy and submissive with a dash of chicken little syndrome.
Here's the good newshe is young and in the right home, we think he will blossom into a loving and loyal companion.
Patience is the key word here, because you only need to understand that he will bond with his person or people and once he trusts you (because he really wants to)he's a gem.
It will take some walks, naps on the couch, yummy food and snacks, a little bit of play time and his heart will be yours.
Lucky will probably never be a happy go lucky kind with strangers, but he will seek affection and give kisses once he gets comfy.
We don't think young kids and a chaotic household is a good fit for him.
Lucky would appreciate a fairly quiet lifestyle.
He is pretty low energy but he absolutely enjoys his walks to stretch his little legs and enjoy some sniffs.
Lucky is a very sweet and chill dog, he just needs some time and understandingonce he figures out he is safe, he's awesome.
Lucky has been in his foster home for a short time but he's making huge improvements daily.
He's been exposed to an office lifestyle and he's doing great being introduced to all different kinds of humans.
Lucky would prefer to be the one and only, but he would do well with another four legged, small, balanced, friendly chill vibe companion.
Large dogs are ok, but low energy would be the best fit.
Lucky will try to guard his person if given the opportunity, so you gotta stay tough and let him know who is in charge.
He does like to chase birds, so we don't think cats would be ideal, unless you have a very dog savvy cat that will put up with his shenanigans (stay high or tell him whose the boss and mean it).
Lucky will do best in a home where someone understands he is sensitive and needs to be supported by giving him strength and courage.
You can't baby a pooch like Lucky, you have to show him - everything is ok and WE can do this! Lucky is young and capable of learning that the world is not scary when surrounded by love and structure.
Lucky is house, crate and leash trained.
Those milestones are complete, now we just need to find his forever, is that you?
