Meet Lucky
Meet Lucky, a 1.5-year-old female Retriever mix.
Lucky received her name from a kind out of area man that found her while visiting Yakima. She is a friendly girl but unsure about what is going on around her. She was found wearing a harness and dragging a horse lead so she had an owner at one time. Sadly no one has come to the adoption center looking for Lucky. We are hoping that her luck changes soon and that someone will come adopt her. Lucky seems a little more comfortable outside. Due to the area found and some details from the finder, it is possible that Lucky was owned by a transient and more used to living outdoors.
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
