Meet Luhi
We were notified by Franklin County Sheriff that Luhi and his five siblings and Mama Star were dumped out off Taylor Flats – so of course we went out and with a lot of help and effort caught them all and brought them to safety placing them in foster homes.
Born approximately 11/22/22, Luhi is a male German Shepherd mix, currently weighing in at around 30 lbs. His foster describes him as the sweetest boy who loves belly rubs and cuddles and simply playing! He is very eager to learn and picks things up quickly, he sits, waits for treats, knows off as well as leaves it. He is mostly potty trained and will whine when he needs to go out. While he is crate trained, it is not his favorite place to spend time.
Luhi is altered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is currently living with one of his siblings and an adult German Shepherd – he seems to benefit from and takes a lot of his cues from the older dog. Luhi was the last of the puppies to be caught and is named for his leeriness around strangers. He will require a home with a fully fenced yard, a confident dog companion and people who will continue to work with him on building his confidence in new situations. If there are children in the home, over the age of five.
