Meet Luna
Hi, my name is Luna. My foster parents found me roaming around the neighborhood, so they brought me home and let me sleep in their yard until we got to know each other. Now they’re teaching me about the big world so I’ll be ready to go out on my own soon.
I’m not a big girl- probably only going to be 40 lbs max. The world is full of new things, and I’m working on being big and brave so I can see all there is to see. My foster parents have taken me to Sonic (cars are a bit iffy, but I’m getting used to it), the farmers market, on walks, and Home Depot. As long as I have my people, I’m a little more brave, and I much prefer outdoor activities to indoor activities. So far I’ve played with my little dog brothers, a girl dog my size (she didn’t like me but I tried!) and a girl dog bigger than me. Once I get a chance to know them on my own timeline, I love to play!
One thing that I can warm up to quick- snuggles. You, a blankie, your shoe… I’m an equal opportunist. We are working on crate training and so far, no potty accidents inside! I’d love to have a family that is around a lot and has a calm home while we work on my confidence (maybe some agility lessons??) so we can adventure out in the big world.
Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Northern States. We have transports that leave Texas monthly. Our out of state adoption fee is $575 per dog. This fee includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, a registered microchip, a negative heart worm test, health certificate, flea/tick monthly preventative and transport costs. The adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Face time, etc). The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport.
