Meet Lylla
Lylla is doing great in her foster home. Some of her babies are gone to their adoptive home and now it is her turn! This beautiful mama is full of love and enjoys snuggling up on your lap with a warm blanket. She is great meeting new people - no stranger danger with this girl! She is fully house trained , walks decently on a leash (more work required), loves car rides and adventures and sleeps well in her crate all night. She is crate trained but doesn’t like going in, but once in the crate she will whine for a short time before settling down.
She is full of energy, loves to run (fast) and is a jumper (likely part kangaroo). She is sharing her foster home with other dogs and a cat. Lylla has shown a strong prey drive so we feel she is likely best in a home with no small animals. She is a strong chewer, so tough stuffies are a must! Balls and bully stick chews are some of her favourites!
Lylla’s adopters must be prepared to keep her busy with plenty of daily exercise and play time. She is great with children but as always, we recommend dog-savvy kids. Even though she is good with other dogs, we feel she might be best as the only dog or another dog of similar size who is more on the submissive side, is friendly and has a similar energy level. She loves to be play outdoors so a safely fenced yard is a must for Lylla,
Her adopter must be prepared to continue with her training. She is a counter-surfer so all food needs to be kept out of reach. She will thrive in a home that can provide good routines/structure, patience and lots of love. Lylla is very treat motivated and she responds well to positive reward-based training. She already knows some basic commands (come and sit and her name). She’s very gentle taking treats and waits her turn.
Lylla is approximately 2 years old and weighs about 45 pounds.
She is fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and spayed.
