Meet the Pasta Crew!
Macaroni, estimated 9 months (using DOB October 2022) , neutered male, Cattle dog/Hound mix, estimated to be a medium/large size when full grown. He currently weighs about 45 pounds. He is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS and can transport to an approved adopter. Please note, he is physically located in the state of Texas.
This group of puppies was found roaming in an area that is well known for having abandoned/dumped dogs. A very kind family saw them nearly run over by cars (on purpose) so they took them home. Shortly after we became involved, they started to not feel well and we confirmed with our vet they tested positive for parvo. We sadly lost two of the siblings. Macaroni and 6 of his siblings recovered and have been doing amazing! This virus is not contagious as they are no longer symptomatic and are out of the shedding period. This also means they now have a natural immunity to this virus. There are no ongoing medical concerns and they are all regular, happy, energetic puppies!
This guy has a lot of energy and loves to play with his siblings and the other dogs in the foster home. He mingles with the goats and pigs on the property with no issues. We have no history with cats.
He has been around kids and is typical jumpy puppy. He will do best with children who are experienced around animals.
He is potty trained, but he is not crate trained. He is also learning to sit for treats and food. He is very smart and wants to please/learn. He is a cuddle bug and has the sweetest disposition. He is a good mixture of energy and then chills out around the house. He walks okay on leash and rides well in the car.
For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs.
