Maggie, 3.5 years old, spayed female, Pitbull/Catahoula mix, 48 pounds. She is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS and can transport to an approved adopter. Please note, she is physically located in the State of Texas.
Maggie is incredibly sweet! It's just her and her foster mom in the home. She has met other dogs and is very excited when first meeting, but does well. She likes to play and would do well with another dog who likes to play. We have found dog parks are a little overstimulating for her.
We have no history with cats. She will see them out walking and does not pay them any mind. She has met kids 2-4 years old. She LOVES them, but can get excited and has knocked them over with her tail wags.
Maggie does tend to pull on leash and her foster mom is working on her leash skills. She is very excited to check things out. She is fully housebroken. She does well in a crate.
She is a solid moderate energy dog. She goes on a couple walks a day and she really loves them. She is not bouncing off the walls, but also isn't a total couch potato.
Maggie likes to sleep on the corner of her bed, with her ball and her pillow in her mouth- super adorable! She is very intelligent and affectionate. She can be playful and goofy times. she loves to play tug of war. She is very loyal and has a desire to please her human. She is not destructive and only chews her toys. She does not get into the trash and has great house manners. She does not "over" bark and will alert when startled or if someone comes to the door. Her foster mom has taught her some commands- Heal, Break (go), sit, stay and down.
She loves car rides and goes on adventures (grabs coffee) with her foster mom. She is looking for a home that will provide structure and boundaries.
