Adoption Fee: $ Malik is a handsome black and tan male about 1 year old with an adorable ear that flops over.

He came from a local shelter with no history about his start in life.

Malik still acts very much like a typical puppy.

He is being fostered with an adult female German Shepherd and they love to rough house together.

Malik tries to bite at the rear legs of the other dog by getting under her mid-section and bites at her rear legs.

Supervision is needed to prevent any escalation from the female against him.

Malik loves walks.

He has overdone it on occasion with his play and panosteitis (pain from growing quickly) causes him to limp.

Rest and an occasional anti-inflammatory has kept this in check.

For this reason, Malik doesn't try jumping into the car.

A bit of help is needed and over time, with his muscles getting toned, he may be able to enter and exit more easily.

Malik is an affectionate boy looking for a forever home.

A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service.

That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state.
