Meet Maverick
Meet Maverik, a 1.5-year-old male Pit Bull/Husky mix.
Have you been looking for a chill dog? Maverick is super cool! He enjoys his walks in the parks but is more about enjoying his "me" time then interacting a bunch with people. Once Maverik has had a little time out of the kennel then he becomes more willing to interact and will even shake your hand like a polite gentleman. Maverick has been at the adoption center since February and is now good on his leash and ready to be your walking companion.
Maverik has no idea what he is doing half the time but boy is he happy about it. He can get dramatic on leash when he doesn't know what direction he is expected to do but once settled in he gets the zoomies. Maverik doesn't love being in his kennel and can get mouthy when he is being returned to it. He does best with a daily walk and is going to need an adopter that can be active with him. Come on down and meet this super handsome boy.
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop
