Meet Melman

Melman came into rescue as a stray so we don't know his backstory. We estimate his age as 2-3 yrs old and believe he is a dachshund blend. We do know that this boy has had very little socializing. He gets very nervous when new people come to his fosters home. He will bark and feel threatened as if the people were intruders. His foster is working with him by taking him to public place to get him used to people.

He is so affectionate and cant get close enough to his person. He loves his snuggle time and will burrow at night in bed. He does well with other dogs. Cats unknown but he was found in a backyard with feral cats. He will do good in a home with or without another dog. He will need continuous work on his shyness to people. He is learning car rides can be fun. He is housebroken and crate trained.
