Meet Adopted! Mercury
Due to the high level of interest in Mercury, we apologize that we were not able to respond to everyone. Mercury has now been adopted.
Mercury and her siblings were surrendered to us by a hunter who, due to medical issues, could no longer care for them. They are all friendly, social puppies. Like all young puppies, they will need training, including housebreaking, to grow up to become well-mannered adults.
It is a good thing puppies are so cute, because they can be a lot of work at first! They will need someone who is home a good portion of the day. Due to their size and activity level, they will need a single-family home or townhouse (no apartments) and would be best with kids over 10 years. Though we can’t predict how big they’ll be when they are full grown, their mother was approximately 20 pounds and father was around 30 pounds. So we expect they will be somewhere in between.
Mercury is more independent and a tad shyer than her siblings. But she still enjoys meeting new people and playing with her siblings. She is the largest of the group.
If you are interested in meeting any of them, please fill out an application. Although Mercury (and her sibs) will not attend adoption events, best-matched adopters will be invited to visit her in her foster home in Hyattsville, Maryland. The adoption fee for Mercury is $400.
