Meet Merlin

This handsome man is Merlin! He came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed and we can't imagine why! He's probably 4 ish years old and is a pit bull mix.

Merlin has never met a stranger! He's very social with people and enjoys saying hi. He likes to lean on you when you pet him. He's very tolerant for handling as we had to give him ear medication when he arrived to us and he was the best boy about taking his meds. Merlin knows sit and speak! What other fun tricks could he be hiding?

Merlin has been friendly with other dogs here at the shelter and he could likely live in a home with other dogs. Any potential doggie roommates will need to have a meet and greet at the shelter before finalizing the adoption. We showed him the cats in our cat room and he didn't show any interest. We always caution that dogs will likely chase cats if they run and slow introductions are recommended.

Merlin is considered special needs as he has significant ear problems, that will likely need extensive surgery. We are currently evaluating his medical issues and will update his profile when we have an idea of what he needs. This is likely a long term issue with him so he will need a home that is dedicated to his needs.
