Meet Merry
Merry's mom was a neighborhood stray who befriended a couple over time since they started feeding her. The goal was to get her off the streets, spayed, and into a home. All of that happened, but not before Merry and his littermates were born. When the puppies were about 4 weeks old, Mama Snow brought her litter of 4 to the couple and basically settled in their yard as "home". Snow and two of the littermates have found their forever homes, so now it's time for Merry and his brother!
Merry is generally happy to see other dogs. His goal is to play! He's curious about cats, but we won't be adopting him into a home with cats since he's not lived around them. He's not been around many small children, but when he's been around kids, he's been curious and social with them.
He's not currently living in a house, so he will need to work on house and crate training.
He's a goofy boy who is always happy. He's curious, nosey, and definitely an extrovert. He loves belly scratches. He will leap into your lap for loves. He does pretty well on leash with a harness and is getting better all the time. He loves car rides. He may not be a good fit for an elderly person or little kids since he still likes to jump up to say hi. He's working on his manners, but at just under a year old, he's still got that puppy energy that trumps his obedience once in awhile.
Merry's adoption fee is $500 which includes his neuter, current vaccinations (rabies, 2 parvo/distemper boosters, bordatella), negative heartworm test, registered microchip, negative fecal, health certificate, and transport costs.
He is available through Paw Pals of Hale Center, a partner rescue of Project Freedom Ride. We are located in the Texas Panhandle. He is located here in Texas with our rescue.
