After extensive research about the temperament, behavior, and personality traits of these two lovable cat breeds, breeders decided mating these two purebreds together would produce loving companions and emotional support cats. Mia is the result of mating a purebred Maine Coon and Ragdoll.

Mia is a gorgeous cat. She is a fairly large girl with an exquisite long coat. She came to our rescue after both her owners died. Her human mom, who was her special person, passed away in November. Her husband passed unexpectedly in June. We were contacted to see if we could take Mia into our rescue, as her home was being set up for an estate sale as well as it being sold very soon. So, when she came to her foster's home, she was terribly frightened and upset. Even with her whole world changing, she never displayed any aggression, just fear.

Mia is a young 8-year-old female. She loves to play with catnip toys, balls, and feathers. She did not react much when the foster's dogs were brought in to meet her. They are cat friendly dogs, so we feel she would be okay in a home with a similar dog, given a proper slow introduction. She was purchased from a breeder, so she would most likely be okay in a home with a non-alpha cat. But she was adopted from a breeder as an adult, so has been an only cat for five plus years. She is accustomed to getting all the love and attention herself. She needs a home with a patient owner, that is familiar with the care a long-haired cat requires and is willing to give her all the time she needs to trust and love again.
