Miley Rae, 3 years old, spayed female, Pitbull Terrier, 55 pounds. She is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS and can transport to an approved adopter. Please note, she is physically located in the State of Texas.
One of our foster homes found this girl dumped in their neighborhood. She was so sweet so they brought her home and asked us to help with her vetting and find her a forever home. We think she was used for breeding and was no longer wanted :( Despite her history, she is the SWEETEST dog!
Miley Rae is very dog friendly. She shares a home with 3 other dogs and loves all of them. She acclimated to the group very quickly. All of the dogs have different play styles and she adapts well to all the styles. We would say she is moderate energy. She does the cutest thing with her butt when playing- she constantly twirls around and smacks her butt on our dogs. Some dogs use their paws, she uses her butt. She is very entertaining.
She walks well on leash and seems to have had some previous training. She does not pull and stays close. She has no reaction to seeing other dogs when out walking. She knows a handful of commands, "sit, paw and lay down."
She also shares a home with a cat who she really wants to be friends with. The cat is very sassy and not interested in making friends with Miley. She has learned to leave the cat alone. She has been around kids 8 years old. She is not very jumpy and is really gentle, therefore we have no reason to believe she wouldn't be great with children who know and respect boundaries with animals.
Miley Rae is housebroken ad does fine in her crate. Her foster parents crate her when unsupervised and at night.
She has been protective of her food at mealtime, but all the dogs are fed separately so no issues. She has no problem sharing her toys with the other dogs. She loves her tennis balls.
We think she would love another dog to play with as we think she likes having a dog around. She is fairly chill when in the house and adapts quickly to her surroundings.
Miley Rae is a happy and funny girl! She tends to mimic the other dogs actions. She sees the other pups giving the foster parents kisses, so she will try to do the same but then turn away. They call her the master rejecter haha. A fenced yard is not required as long as she gets some physical outlets throughout the week. She does great meeting new people and rides well in the car. She is super easy going!
