Miska is looking for a home.
She was born April and is approximately 55 lbs.
Her mum and littermates were often seen wandering in the area of the SPCA PV sanctuary and staff and volunteers saw them in deteriorating condition due to a diet heavy on garbage and took them in to give them the care they needed.
She got refuge at the shelter, only to live through a hurricane that wiped part of it away.
She luckily went into temporary foster while the shelter was repaired.
So now its time for a forever home! Miska lived in a foster home with a cat (who would pick on her) so could live in a cat home.
She is mostly cautious / fearful of them.
Miska is house trained and walks well on leash.
She is an energetic girl who loves the water, and playing with smaller dogs.
She is afraid of bigger dogs.
She responds to basic cues and is a good listener, who sits, fetches and patiently waits for her food.
She is affectionate.
Miska would love a yard to run around in.
She loves the beach and swimming.
Miska has been tested alone for a few hours and does fine, but she’s young and doesn’t want to be forgotten as far as exercise, enrichment and love go! Miska is now healthy and vaccinated.
She is currently in our sister sanctuary in Mexico with flight options for Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, Calgary and Seattle If you think you might be her happy home, please contact us at for more information.
