Marvellous Molly is a fun loving, happy girl who is on the lookout for her forever home – could it be with you? She is an affectionate dog who enjoys nothing more than spending time with her favourite human, receiving an endless amount of love. She is also, always up for a game of fetch or a good walk, exploring the outdoors. Molly can be a little grumpy towards other dogs and does have to wear a muzzle out in public, but don’t fear, her behaviour is very manageable, and she is happy to trot away with her handler when prompted. Molly is an intelligent girl, eager to please and has an abundance of love to give. She will make a fantastic companion for the right person or family willing to cater to her needs.
Molly can live with dog sensible children of 12+, providing they have experience around dogs. She could live in a flat as long as there is direct access to a garden but can be vocal at times, so this should be considered. She can be grumpy around certain dogs, so needs to wear a muzzle and long line as a safety measure when out on walks, but her behaviour is easily managed and she has responded very well to training. Her adopter will be expected to continue her training and will receive 3 free sessions with our Mayhew Animal Behaviourist. Ideally, we’d like to rehome her in a rural/semi – rural environment so she can enjoy her walks to full capacity without bumping into too many dogs, but this is not essential. Molly has spondylosis of her spine. Currently, she is a very happy dog not showing any obvious pain or discomfort, however, in the future, it may be that she will eventually need on-going pain relief. Molly was also diagnosed with possible urethral sphincter mechanism incontinence. This can be common in older, large breeds of dogs or may be associated with the spondylosis. She was placed on medication to help control her urinary incontinence but has since been weaned off successfully and is no longer showing signs of incontinence. Adopters would need to monitor this situation and consult their vet if needed. Molly has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed
