Nikki is the sweetest and friendliest 9-year-old Hound x German Shepherd-mix female, and she weighs 75 pounds.
She absolutely loves people, always has a big smile on her face, and is very affectionate.
She is one of those dogs that just loves to be at her person’s side.
Nikki is housebroken and crate-trained, but she needs a home with no other dogs.
She is excellent on leash, walking right by her person, and behaves very mannerly around the public.
She is a trained dog – she knows “Heel”, “Sit”, “Stay”, “Come” and “Down”.
Also, she has done an agility course and loved it.
Nikki is great in the car - she has no problem jumping into the back of a SUV - and also does well during grooming.
Nikki was owned by an elderly man who had saved her from one of the high-kill shelters in .
She was his service dog and they lived in a retirement home together.
Sadly, her owner had a terminal illness and died during the pandemic of , so Nikki has been looking for a forever home ever since.
Nikki is a very gentle, kind soul, very calm in the house and a velcro dog that follows her person around.
She will be a wonderful companion for someone who is older and home a lot.
