Norman

Looks like: Cairn Terrier mix
Male, 12 years old (estimated), 21 pounds Norman may look a little scruffy around the edges, but he is the most sweet and gentle soul.

He is very trusting, loyal, loves being around people, and although we haven't had an opportunity to see him interact with children yet, we are confident that he would be perfectly fine around them.

This affectionate chap will nudge your hand for pets and will invite himself to sit on your lap whenever the opportunity arises.

Needless to say, he likes to be where the action is, may it be helping to unpack groceries, doing yard work, or chilling on the couch.

When home alone, he is a pro at using the doggy door and will make himself comfortable, sometimes sneaking a blanket off the couch to cuddle up in a nest on the floor.

He gets along with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and happily follows the pack, but he does not necessarily engage in play.

We are not quite sure yet how he is around kitties.

He enjoys going for walks and has quite the pep in his step.

On car rides, he is calm and mellow.

Sweet Norman's skin requires some continued TLC and he may sometimes lick incessantly.

He needs a boost to get up on the couch, go up stairs, or even to get up a curb.

He appreciates the occasional help getting lifted or carried.

In exchange, he will always be there for you when you need somebody to lean on.

Norman came to us from the overfull Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter to make space for other pups in need.
