Meet Nyxi

Nyxi, 2 years old, spayed female, Labrador Retriever/Pitbull mix, 50 pounds. She is in a foster home in HOUSTON, Texas and can transport out of State once an adopter is approved.

Nyxi is a wonderful pup! She shares a foster home with 5 other dogs and has done great with all of them! She loves to play- run, chase and hang out. If a dog plays too rough with her, she does get a little scared and will bark at them. She is great at picking up on the other dog's cues when they want to stop playing. She is very respectful. She is in a home with dogs who weigh 50-70 pounds.

She has also done really great with the 3 cats in the home. 2 of the cats are very dog friendly and have enjoyed hanging out with her. We have no history with kids and recommend a home with kids 10 years and older.

Nyxi pulls on leash and could use some extra work on leash. Her foster home has a large fenced yard, so she is not on leash often. She is fully housebroken and does great when she is crated. She is currently crated around 4 hours each day when her foster mom is at work.

She is a moderate-energy dog. She loves to run outside with the dogs but then she is all about coming back inside and relaxing. She loves the AC! LOL, but it's hot in Texas - 100-107 degrees if you're not from here. I think her having another dog friend would be a good idea because she is dog friendly. But her main love is people for sure, so if no other dog she would be okay. She will need some physical outlet if no other dog in the home (walks, engaging in play).

She likes to play with a ball. She hasn't chewed on any chew toys yet. She is very cuddly and affectionate. She LOVES attention and being loved on. She has been super friendly to every adult she has met. She rides well in the car.

Nyxi knows how to sit, give paw, give high five. She will reach for you with her paw when she wants to be pet or loved on. She is food motivated. She really is an amazing dog and so sweet! Nothing seems to phase her and she just goes with the flow.

We are looking for a home with a nice backyard to run and stretch her legs out and play. Someone who would take her on nice walks & spend time with her. She would love another dog in the home who wants to engage in some play.
