Meet Owen

Owen is a male dachshund mix born approx. March 17th 2013.

This sweet boy has likely had it rough due to a skin condition which doesn’t affect his love of people and life! Owen smiles and dances when his foster family talks to him which is one of the many utterly adorable things about him.
He would do best in a cat free home and seems to prefer female canine friends.

He would do best in a home with a calmer quiet atmosphere. Owen has some heart issues and prefers a cart of being carried to actually taking a walk (he’s capable of walking -just has a preference not to)

He absolutely enjoys car rides and sleeping in a humans bed over a crate.

Due to his skin issues, he has been enjoying his weekly sink bathes to help sooth his chronic skin issue, is a good boy taking his daily meds. (He also LOVES pool time in his foster home.). He occasionally has an accident in the house and wears belly bands well if needed but does well with a doggie door if needing to be left alone.

Owen would LOVE a home with children. He absolutely adores the 8 year old boy at his foster home and prefers to snuggle up to him as often as he can. Owen is on monthly medication and costs will vary, but they are needed for life.
