Panchita

Meet Panchita! Panchita was surrendered by her family to Downey Shelter for unknown reasons and soon became at risk for euthanasia.

We scooped her up on January 16th to give her a fresh start as a Frosted Face! Panchita is 10 years old and weighs just under 10 lbs.

As you can see in her photo, Panchita's skin is inflamed.

We are following our veterinary team's treatment plan, included medicated baths, to help her heal.

She is already feeling better! Fortunately, Panchita is currently on an extended Frosted Fling, so she can continue to heal in a clean, warm home environment.

We received a great update from her Fling Dad: "We have had Panchita for three weeks.

Her skin is doing well, and her hair is regrowing on a duck and beef diet! Panchita is a card carrying member of the clean plate club, and checks after every walk to see if her food dish has been refilled.

Panchita is a true SoCal girlie and likes walks as long as it is warm and sunny.

She especially loves beach walks/sniffs (see video).

That said, one of Panchita's favorite activities is napping! Panchita has enjoyed meeting all of the neighborhood dogs on her walks and has successfully passed her cat test.
