Meet Papas
Meet Papas, a 2-year-old male Retriever/Shepherd mix.
Papas was brought to the adoption center by Yakima city animal control. He arrived after being found with a female dogs and a littler of puppies. Papas was very unsure when he arrived but has slowly begun to feel more safe and seems to like getting in the park to sniff around. Papas does good on his leash most the time but is very strong and at 71 pounds does pull some. He would do best in a home with no small children at this time and would benefit from some positive reinforcement training.
This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center.
Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
