Patrick

Meet Patrick, an 8-year-old mixed breed rescue dog with a story only movies are made from.

Saved from a high kill shelter by Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue, Patrick was facing euthanasia due to his age and the slim chances of being adopted.

Originally owned by an older gentleman who was being evicted from his apartment, Patrick was surrendered along with his kitty brother in the hopes of finding them a new home together.

Sadly, his kitty brother was adopted while Patrick was left behind, facing an uncertain fate.

Upon arriving at the rescue, it was discovered that Patrick had several tumors that needed immediate attention.

He underwent surgery to remove four masses and an abscess, as well as being neutered.

Despite his challenging past, Patrick has remained hopeful and loving, showing a gentleness and love.

Soon after his surgery, the person who had committed to fostering him (long term) decided that Patrick's post-surgery care was too much for them and decided they wanted him gone.

While Patrick was being transported by his first foster to his 2nd foster - they found themselves rear-ended and spun into on-coming traffic.

Patrick was crated in the trunk.

Luckily, Patrick only suffered his sutures opening and another visit to the vet.

Now in search of his forever home, Patrick is looking for a loving family who will cherish him as the only canine companion.

He walks well on leash and loves cuddling with his human, making him the perfect friend for someone looking to give an older dog a second chance at happiness.

Did I mention that Patrick loves to cuddle! Just wants to be near his human.
