Peanut would make a great companion dog.
He is calm and quiet and loves to cuddle.
Peanut took a couple months to really start showing his personality and get comfortable with his foster home.
His favorite place to be is on the couch curled up under a cozy blanket.
Peanut is about 9 years old and 9 pounds Peanut is a VERY well behaved little dog.
He rarely barks, he is not a runner and will come when called.
He enjoys occasional treats (he is picky about what treats he likes) and he does not chew on things he shouldn't.
He is happiest around his person so he doesn't wander far.
He is fine with other dogs (mostly he is uninterested) but would do best with other small dogs.
Peanut does great in the car.
He prefers to have a bed or blanket to sleep on as he doesn't like the slippery seats but he settles right in his bed for the ride.
He is house trained though he is not a fan of pooping outside in stormy weather! He does best with a covered area to go when the weather is bad.
He had a couple pee accidents at the beginning of fostering but that hasn't been an ongoing issue.
All in all Peanut is just a sweet little love bug who wants to live out his older years in a warm cozy loving home.
He has loads of cuddles and toe licks to share! Peanut had a dental with some extractions to get ready for adoption.
Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs.
In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption.
