Meet Penelope
Meet Penelope! She’s a little over 2 years old and 50-ish lbs at a healthy weight. Penelope has lived in a home her entire life, so she’s worked lots on the necessary house manners. She is 100% housebroken and uses the doggy door to let herself out. If the dog door isn’t open, she knows how to ring a strand of bells at the backdoor to go out. She can sleep and hang out in her crate, and she’s also excellent on a leash. Nothing better in her book than a good stuffed toy and a tug rope play session. Expect to spend a Sunday with her at the foot of the couch watching football with you- her off switch is pretty good after a few minutes getting some excitement out of her system. She spent most of her life growing up with kids.
Penelope adores other dogs and wants to play badly, but she still plays like a puppy- licking the face and not reading body language well. She can go on walks with dogs and pay no mind to them, and she can still run and play as long as her interactions are monitored. It’s probably best that she live as the only dog in the house due to the need to monitor interactions so closely. She would likely do best with a low key dog friend to go on regular walks with.
