Meet Penny! This poor girl can't catch a break.
She was adopted out to people who had no idea what a dog of her size and energy needed.
She was not socialized well by her adopters.
They really didn't care to do much with her.
It was apparent when we found her running around and had to trap her.
The adopters surrendered her to the rescue.
We said we would take her if the rescue would surrender her.
We have had Penny for awhile.
We have been working with her on her confidence.
She is doing so much better.
She gets on the treadmill and you can see her confidence growing! She has been going on outings to parks, coffee shops, and to the Botanical gardens.
We are working on helping her feel comfortable with touch.
We don't think anyone spent any time giving her love and attention.
Penny's ideal family would be patient and would show her unconditional love.
Her family would help her build her confidence by doing the things that scare her the most.
We know that once she is in a home and feels secure she will blossom.
We would love to find Penny her forever family and help them build that trust with her.
This girl deserves a chance! Kids over twelve only.
Penny has never nipped or bit anyone.
We feel that small kids may be too much for her.
Cats are unknown Approx.
