Meet Pierce
Meet Pierce, a 2-year-old male Shepherd mix.
Pierce was brought to the adoption center after Yakima city animal control picked him up. He was reported to have been tied to a post in a baseball park for over 24 hours. Pierce is understandably a little shy with new people but he really wants to be friends. Pierce greets new people with his tail tucked but in with a few minutes of calm attention he is wagging it. He loves squeakers and tries to keep a clean kennel.
This pet is available at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
