Meet PigPen
January 15th Second Chance Dog Rescue was notified about 8 very small puppies being dumped on a road leading into Snyder. The person that found them said 3 puppies had already been ran over. She took the other 5 to her house and contacted SCDR. The puppies were about 4 weeks old, we are guessing they were born around December 18. With no other information on the puppies we are guessing on breed. Currently based on coloring etc. we are guessing they are Catahoula or Pitbull mixes. Some look more catahoula and some a little more pit looking. At the rate of growth we are suspecting their size will be between 35-55 pounds when grown. This is just an estimate.
PigPen is the largest male puppy in the litter. He is brave and adventurous. Like the others he is a sweet cuddly boy.
They are starting crate training and housebreaking. They love toys and chewing. They are very food motivated. They have lots of love in the foster home. They have done well with cats and kids. They do play a little rough like puppies sometimes do. They have breakaway collars on to get them ready for lead and leash training. These guys had a rough start in life, and we want to find the best possible family for each of them. We know with one on one training and attention these will be great companions and family members.
Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Northern States. We have transports that leave Texas monthly. Our out of state adoption fee is $575 per dog. This fee includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, a registered microchip, a negative heart worm test, health certificate, flea/tick monthly preventative and transport costs. The adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Face time, etc.). The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport.
