MEET PRINCETON Princeton (also referred to as Duke by his foster mom) is a 3 yr old, 41 lb, Airedale Terrier mix who is currently located in San Antonio, TX and can be transported to an approved adopter.
Sweet Princeton is looking for a patient home with a doggy sibling who he can play chase with.
He's a sweet boy who can take some time to warm up, but really shows his playful side when he's playing with his foster doggy siblings.
He's generally mellow in the home and does well with the resident cat, who he mostly ignores.
When playing with other dogs, Princeton does well picking up ques of the other dogs.
He loves to play chase and generally doesn't engage in wrestling.
We advise that there be another dog in the home to help him with his shy nature and to help build his confidence in his new home.
He's polite with toys and generally waits his turn.
All dogs are fed separately in the home in their crates so we do not have any information regarding food aggression.
Princeton is great in the home.
He's housebroken and crate trained.
The crate is his safe space and he enjoys spending time in there.
When left alone, he's put in the crate and does very well.
He doesn't cry or fuss and is happy to see his family when they return.
He's still working on his leash manners and sometimes pulls and loves a good "sniffarri." Currently, Princeton lives with children ages 2 to 7 yrs old.
He does well, but mostly avoids them.
We think he would enjoy a home with older children that will respect his space more than younger children might.
An ideal home for Princeton is one where he can warm up to his family at his own pace and where he has a doggy sibling or two.
He's moderately active, so some walks and play time would be great before he gets to lounge around the home with you.
