Meet Rags! Rags is a male, 2 year old, American English Coonhound blend. He is 51 pounds.

Rags arrived at the shelter as a stray. He is a wonderful and lovely guy! He has such a nice zest for life, and is excited, energetic, playful, and active! He settles down well and will pay attention to you when needed. Rags is comfortable with women, men, and children, though he may be overwhelming for a small child. He loves tennis balls and playing fetch. It's his absolute favorite thing in the world, and it uses up all of that wonderful energy he has! He would love to go to a forever home that can supply him with plenty of exercise, mental enrichment, and scent work, as he is a hound and loves to use his nose! He will need a home without cats. He is a great boy who is ready to bust out of the shelter and into his new life!

Rags will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. He will need a home without cats.

Rags is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today!
