Rascal
My foster writes:
Rascal the Snuggler is an excellent housedog. He loves being around adult people and another calm, large dog, and he will initiate physical touch at every opportunity. He is an excellent napper, and can spend an entire afternoon snoozing. He is not very vocal, but he has been known to alert his guardians to people in the hallway occasionally and to dangers that appear in his dreams when he quietly howls in his sleep. He enjoys watching the world from the window, since being out in that world is a little much for him. Walks with Rascal are short and sweet. Rascal is looking for a home that can offer consistent, frequent walks as he continues to improve his house training and becomes more accustomed to being outside. Rascal does not appreciate small dogs yelling at him, and he prefers to be fed lots of treats and stand aside while they go by. He will need continued positive reinforcement to improve his ability to sit, stay, and touch, since being extremely cute can only get him so far. An adopter who is ready to train and shower Rascal with praise will be rewarded with an amazing, affectionate family member.
What my friends say about me:
I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.
I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.
I am looking for a home with a patient person.
