Meet Reese
Reese is a 9 year old female bengal cat. She grew up with two older puggles. She is now at the foster with another beagle mix. She does not necessarily play with her canine brothers, but she happily co exists and is able to share the love and attention. Owners recently had a baby and Reese became very jealous. Meowing a lot for attention, not letting the baby sleep, hence they had to give up on her. We tested Reese with foster kittens and she was extremely stressed. We think it is best she is the only cat in the house and no babies!
She is a very sweet cat, loves to cuddle(on her own time) loves being pet and brushed out. She does not like being picked up. She does not show any aggression, just tries to jump right away if you pick her up. She is very flirty at meal times, and she likes to sleep with her owner.
Just like other bengals, Reese is very vocal and has a loud voice. She is very chatty and responds every time she is talked to. She likes to be in higher spots. Had a tall tower, likes jumping onto chairs, even the counters at time. Loves to run, she’ll have energetic bursts but also loves to sleep a lot of the day. She likes to play with her toys, and loves her scratch post. She does not scratch furnitures or anything else as long as she has a scratch post.
She likes to counter surf for food, best you keep counters food free. Owners fed her a raw diet. Has eaten instinct chicken her whole life, instinct grain free kibble and occasional raw chicken while they are cooking. At the foster home she transitioned to canned cat food and it was fine. As soon as she sees you cooking and handling meat she will come out and start flirting with you :) She does have a big appetite and if you don’t portion her food, she will gain a lot of weight and become unhealthy. It is most important with her being a big eater to measure her food.
She tends to pee high, and does not cover her potty. She will do best with a top lid litter.
Reese is currently residing in Union City, and looking for her furever home.
