Meet REFY
Refy who is affectionately referred to as Nox by his foster, was found wandering around the streets of Georgia after the state was hit with a hurricane. A Good Samaritan brought him to a local shelter, and he has since made his way up to New York City where he hopes to gain a new lease on life!
Nox is a sweet and playful puppy who loves to play tug, chew bones, and gnaw on anything soft & squeaky. While he is still an indoor puppy still working on potty training, he is a quick learner who will begin leash training this week, which I have no doubt he will pick up on quickly
Nox is super food motivated which makes training a breeze, and he's already mastered sit within the first two days of his arrival to New York City. Despite being a Georgia boy, Nox has so far not been startled by any sounds of the city and is not reactive to the sounds of people coming in and out of the apartment or the apartment building, although sometimes he can get excited by the sound of other dogs barking.
Nox is still working on crate training and would do best with someone patient, who can understand how far he has come with his separation anxiety and continue to help him gain confidence being alone. For such a young pup with a rough start in life, Nox is so well behaved and continues to amaze his foster every day!
ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at WaldosRescue.org and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it's a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog. We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
