Ridley is finally ready to start looking for her new home.
She started off in a bad situation with a person who never should have had her.
They got tired of her and took her to a vet to have her euthanized, but the vet refused and was able to convince them to surrender her instead.
When we took her in she had been given drugs to calm her down because she spent all her time in a small kennel, she had a really bad ear infection and had been diagnosed with allergies but they didn't know what she was allergic to.
The allergies were likely the source of the ear infections.
We got her out of the kennel, got her allergies diagnosed and got her on the right food and her ear healed up.
Fortunately, the food she needs to eat is easy to get and not expensive.
She is good with the male dog she shares her kennel with, and we were told that her previous owner had small dogs and cats, but we can't say how she is with them and don't trust what we were told by the previous owner.
She is very smart and knows the routine.
We were told she is house trained and maybe she is, but she will likely need a refresher.
Ridley needs somebody who is familiar with shepherds and understand she will need some extra work because of where she came from.
She has come a long ways, put on weight and loves to play tug.
Ridley is ready to take the next step to a forever home.
