Meet Rih Rih

Rih Rih, 3 years old, spayed female, Pitbull Terrier, 50 pounds. She is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS and can transport to an approved adopter.

Rih Rih is a typical adorable house hippo! She wiggles her whole body when excited (which is often). She loves going on walks and brings that wiggly energy with her.

She has done great with other dogs. She likes to sniff and give kisses when first meeting a new dog! She is excited at first and then just hangs out. She has the typical pitbull playstyle and likes to wrestle and chase. We think she would do great with another dog in the home who can match this style or would be fine as an only dog too.

We have no history with cats or kids. Due to her wiggly excitement we recommend a home with kids 10 years and older.

She will pull when out walking and does this funny hop because she is so excited. She could use some additional leash work to help with some pulling. She is easily redirected.

Rih Rih resides in an apartment and does well in this setting. Her foster parents take her for walks and parks to give her some physical outlets. We think she would enjoy a yard, but it's not required. She is crated when her foster parents work and does great. She will press her face up to the side of the crate and make the funniest faces. As soon as they get home, she heads straight to the couch!

We think there is some trauma history. If you raise your hand or make a sudden movement she will cower. She is looking for a patient home who will allow her the time she needs to decompress and feel safe.

She loves playing tug of war. She is moderate/low energy. She LOVES to cuddle. She likes playing with toys, but tires after awhile. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She does great meeting strangers and is happy to make friends. She enjoys car rides.
