Rocco is out on foster so who better to hear from than his loving foster Mum
WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT ME
Rocco is the sweetest, most loving, loyal, playful pup - who will be a lovely addition to any household. He will be an amazing + loyal companion to a single person or older couple - or a fun, loving friend for a family with children and other dogs. Rocco is quick to learn, and eager to please - so will happily work alongside you with his puppy training. He recognizes his name and basic commands such as come, sit, stay, outside. We are currently working on 'shaking hands'.. but he's much more of a hugger than a handshaker He LOVES to be told what a good boy he is, so with lots of reassurance he will continue to be a fast learner. Rocco has lovely manners, sitting for meals, treats, toys and for his harness for walks. He's always happy to see you, but does not jump or lunge, waiting patiently to be greeted as you walk in the door. He does not 'scrounge' for food either, happily putting himself to bed or keeping himself occupied with toys during human meal times. He does know that food comes from the kitchen though, so you'll often find him just lying the middle of the kitchen floor while we cook dinner, just in case Rocco LOVES to be with his humans, and likes nothing more than to give you lots of hugs and kisses and to cuddle up beside you. He LOVES playing with his sister and older foster siblings (American Bulldog, 6.5 years and Lab X, 1.5 years). He is happy + confident with these other dogs and is a real happy-chappy when he's in his pack. He likes to play chase with a soccer or rugby ball, or the tug o war rope around and around, and round the backyard. His new favourite thing is to run under the hose on a hot day. He's also learning to swim in the paddling pool. He is confident + competent on the lead when we are out for walks. The first 100m is always a bit exciting, but he settles well and LOVES being out and about, seeing new sights, smelling new smells and meeting new people and other dogs. He follows commands. He was loving being the centre of attention at a recent outing to the Saturday Markets of Vintage Weekend, showing that he is happy + confident to be with new people too. Rocco sleeps through the night and happily puts himself to bed as the household settles in for the night. We have been consistent with a toilet stops before bedtime, and we have had no 'accidents' inside for weeks. I honestly cannot say enough lovely things about Rocco. He melts my heart 100 times a day. He has been an absolute delight from the minute he arrived at our place as an 8-week old on Foster, and I will devastated to see him go,but at the same time so happy for him to have a happy family he so deserves.
