A volunteer writes: Vanilla arms dotted with chocolate chips, a milk chocolate body, and big pointy bat ears. Those are the first things I notice when I meet Rocko - plus his relaxed happy face of course. On closer inspection, I see his neck has a wound circling it, red and raw, which our vet team suspects is from an embedded collar. I later learned that Rocko was found in a backyard, and when the center came to get him he was friendly, jumping up to say hi and wagging his tail. The person who found him reported that Rocko had been seen for 2 whole weeks wandering about, and while Rocko wears a wound around his neck, he hasn't let it impact his bright shiny personality. He smushes himself into our legs, inching closer and closer, and when he gives paw he keeps it in our hands. So we make a deal with Rocko and shake on it - to find a lovely home for a lovely boy! If that is yours, come meet him at the center.

I will need appropriate toys and positive outlets for my energy.

I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.
