Meet Romaine
Born around August of 2021, Romaine is a male Blue Lacy (per former owner). He is a medium sized pup at around 45 lbs, fully grown. He is a high energy dog that will need a yard or an active family who wants an exercise buddy. Activity and enrichment are an important part to his day. Great with other dogs and might be good with dog savvy cats.
His favorite activities include playing ball, running, taking short naps, running, car rides, running, and snuggles. He is also a very smart dog.
Romaine and his relatives came to the rescue from the local shelter, after being surrendered by his owners. He and his sister had a few litters of pups and when things got a little out of control, the owners were overwhelmed by the situation they found themselves in.
Microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, is working on crate-training, is potty trained, sleeps all night, and can be left alone for a few hours, he is ready to find his forever home. He will need leash training as he thinks he is a natural born sled dog.
At the rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We are 100% foster based and rely on volunteers and fosters to help in our mission. Our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED.
We will choose the most suitable home for each dog, not the first application received.
If the dog you are applying for is adopted, we have good matchmakers that will help you find your perfect new four-legged family member.
Since the dogs that come up are rescues, not much is known about them. Therefore breed and adult sizes are our best guesses and we cannot guarantee this information is accurate.
Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option to your local area for an additional delivery surcharge of $250.
