Meet Rosemary
ABOUT ROSEMARY
This beauty is Rosemary, she's an 8-year-old terrier mix. She came to HAP from a high-intake shelter partner in Georgia. Rosemary is a very sweet lady who is ready to find her perfect match to be her couch potato in crime. She loves spending her time sunbathing, playing fetch, burying her bones, and then taking a long nap in her comfy bed. She knows basic commands and appears house-trained! She loves affection and attention from people. Due to her wanting ALL your love, she would need to be your only fur baby. Rosemary's ideal day would include some outdoor time, where she can play some fetch in the yard. Followed by an afternoon snooze to enjoy her beauty sleep. Rosemary loves going on our Doggy-Day-Out program, where our pups can get a break from the shelter for the day! Here's what our volunteers had to say about their time together:
"I got to hang with sweet rosemary! today was our first day together, and it was awesome. She walks beautifully on a leash, was fine walking past calmer dogs, behaves nicely in the car, and was very social with strangers. She takes treats very gently and doesn't show any guarding behavior. We walked around the riverfront for a while, then we went to concord pet where she was completely uninterested in everything LOL! Then we went to blue ball barn and around the park there where we encountered lots of other dogs and loud kids, she wasn't thrilled with two dogs that tried to get up in her space but she was easily redirected. Then we got a pup cup which she seemed unsure of. Then we went home to Delaware city and met my partner for a walk, she LOVED him. She hopped right up into his lap to give kisses. she's extremely sweet and affectionate and I think she would do well in a home with an older, calmer dog. she rules!"
