Roxie is a smaller black on tan 4 year old girl who loves her people, playing ball and chasing her Frisbee.
She has a sunny demeanor and plenty of energy.
She was owned by an older man who loved her and took her to a dog park near their home for several years.
They made many friends there.
Unfortunately Roxie's owner became sick and passed away.
The dog park friends took Roxie in and cared for her as their own but knew that she deserved a permanent home.
They got in touch with a GSRNC volunteer and we were able to bring her into the program.
We picked her up at her dog park and half a dozen of her friends, human and canine, showed up to say goodbye.
Roxie likes all the people she meets and likes most of the dogs she meets as well.
She is very concerned however around cats.
We are told she was beaten up by a cat when she was a pup and she has not forgotten the experience.
Roxie walks well on leash and is house broken.
She has fairly good manners and has received formal training which will need to be continued.
Roxie is new to our program.
We will update this page once we get to know her a little better.
